In Light of Shadows

Photography & Art Direction: November Wong
Model: anonymous

The works were result of the revelation that came with facing darker thoughts and not judging them.
They represent inner struggles that intensify by our daily experiences. Emotions are neutral product of our environment, yet some
of them are labelled as negative or undesirable. The objective was to express those feelings in a way that invites the viewer to question their perception of them, to even feel beauty and hope in those dark visuals. Two dancers who never met each other were to engage in a contact improv and were requested to imagine that they are one, as an inseparable frequency. Pastels were applied with fingers after images were printed on fine art paper.
